Notes
One of the most essential and at the same time impactful posters in the history Italian graphic design. The official poster for the 14th Milan Triennale exhibition features the event’s geometric mark (a positive T and a negative 14), that here becomes a sort of beautiful abstract painting. Texts are printed in red, always considered to be the second typographic colour par excellence after black, as a way to both differentiate them from the mark and to enhance the layout. A series of coloured posters were also designed by Steiner. Previously unseen on the internet. [NMM]
