The Italian subsidiary of the pharmaceutical company Glaxo was founded in Verona in 1932 as Società Nathan-Bompiani and it was renamed Laboratori Glaxo in 1936. During World War II the company was nationalized by the Fascist government. It continued to operate after WWII obtaining great success.
