Founded in 1907 by Arnoldo Mondadori, it’s the largest publishing house in italy. Among the authors published by the house there are some of the most known protagonists of Italian literature such as D’Annunzio, Pirandello, Pascoli, and Verga. It invented the so called “libri gialli” (yellow books), as the crime fiction novels are commonly known in Italy.
