Born in Liestal, Switzerland, 1923. He graduated from the Basel School of Arts and Crafts. In 1947, after moving to Milan, he started collaborating with Studio Boggeri. Since 1956 he worked for Olivetti designing numerous posters, advertising campaigns, and the logotype of the company. In 1971 he established Unidesign and continued serving important clients. He died in Milan in 2011.
