A cover of Tipografia magazine, a publication started by Modiano himself in 1931. The periodical focused on printing and promoted a Constructivst approach towards typography, also through its own design, thus revealing the fundamental role of Modiano as a pioneer of modern graphic design. According to typographic standards from the 1930s, the layout geometry is very rigorous and elegant but also symmetrically contrived. Previously unseen on the internet. [NM]
