Notes
Munari, who started to design Bompiani’s almanac in 1930, drew the cover of this polemical anti-literary almanac and composed the photographic insert titled “Udite! Udite!” (Hear ye! Hear ye!).
  The insert features quotations by Benito Mussolini and circles cut in the pages showing Mussolini’s face as seen through a telescope, thus producing a visual solution of great suggestion. [NM]
