Notes
Olio Fiat logotype was used since the 1930s—for sure since 1937—in a variety of slightly different shapes. Often, it was used in combination with the “omino bianco” symbol by Marcello Nizzoli but the designer of the logotype is unknown.
Displayed on advertisements, packages, and signs, it was finally standardized in size and proportions in 1961.
The geometric shapes of the logo effectively convey a mechanical feeling which is coherent to both the product and the brand. [NM]
