Founded in 1908 by Camillo Olivetti in Ivrea, Piedmont. It was the most important typewriter and computer manufacturing company in the world. In 1964 it produced the first personal computer ever. The company was greatly developed by Adriano Olivetti, an enlightened entrepreneur, who considered design as an integral part of the company’s culture.
