One of the many series of graphic designs developed by Paolo Tassinari as art director of Casabella magazine. This one features a square in the bottom right corner of the covers, inside which the contents of each issue are reported. The square—somewhat a graphic device inherited from the Italian editorial design tradition, widely used by Bruno Munari for instance—here contributes from time to time to structure the layout of the cover, to make the text information more readable, or to generate the perception of multiple levels of reading.
