Founded in 1971 in New York City by Lella and Massimo Vignelli. It operated in the whole field of design and soon became one of the most prestigious design firm in the world. It served major clients such as Benetton, Bloomingdale’s, Ducati, IBM, Knoll, Poltrona Frau, Saks Fifth Avenue, and many others. Many well known designers collaborated with the firm including Armando Milani, Beatriz Cifuentes, Jonathan Wajskol, Michael Bierut, and Rocco Piscatello. It closed in 2014 when Massimo Vignelli passed away.
